The majority of Americans deal with it daily in gridlock traffic, toxic air pollution, water shortages, higher living costs, gas prices, overcrowded national parks, insanely compacted cities, food costs and everything that degrades their quality of life. Yet no one talks about it. Whether you deal with reality or not, reality deals with you. Holley said the cost of the move related almost equally to its age: “When you think about it, it's about $1,000 a year, “ he said. “The truth is, this tree looks like it's 75 to 100 years old. It's got great genes." It's also proof of the Florida gardener's adage that if you put a stick in the ground here it will grow. Claudia Curle and her late husband, Fred, received the founding branch from a handyman shortly after they built the Grapewood Court home in 1976. “It was kind of an educated planting. I'd seen other gumbo-limbo trees," she said, “At that point, we did much care. We were young and we needed landscaping. It was a lot, and we needed plantings." Lincoln expected to dodge economic slowdown
The only thing that grows are the property taxes, I pay six times the tax I would be paying on my former home, and state taxes are double, sales tax in Nebraska 7% and they are 6% where I use to live. Nebraska and Lincoln have people backed into a corner, always have, listen to the retirees and their worries. Yeah, if your not one of them, things are rosey for the few in Lincoln, been that way for more than 40 years!!!! Hows your 401k, or are you getting great interest rates and stock price appreciation??? If I sold my house (if I could) now I would lose $50,000. No downturn????Hummm??? Suppose not as long as 3/4 of Lincoln lives off the taxpayers!!!! Lincoln's sales tax been down for two years????? What does that tell you?? " .
